Hans von Bodenhausen (politician)

Hans Bodo Freiherr von Bodenhausen (born November 29, 1841 in Leipzig ; † May 7, 1921 in Halle ) was a German lawyer , district administrator and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

He came from the noble family von Bodenhausen raised to the baron status and was the son of the manor owner and Prussian chamberlain Hans Constantin Freiherr von Bodenhausen († 1861) in Leipzig, owner of the manor Burgkemnitz and Neukemnitz. After the death of his father, he inherited his estate in Burgkemnitz by will. In 1911 he bought the Helpt estate in southeast Mecklenburg from Otto von Dewitz .

Hans von Bodenhausen attended the Domgymnasium in Naumburg and studied in Bonn and Berlin . At the University of Berlin he was also awarded a Dr. jur. utr. PhD . He worked from 1867 to 1870 as the Supreme Court - a trainee in Berlin Charlottenburg . In the German War of 1866 and the Franco-German War in 1870/71 he took part in the 10th Hussar Regiment . After the end of the war, von Bodenhausen managed his estates in Burgkemnitz . From 1881 to 1899 he was district administrator in the Bitterfeld district . Between 1879 and 1881 and from 1894 to 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1884 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg 3 Bitterfeld , Delitzsch and the German Conservative Party . Between 1908 and 1918 he was a member of the Prussian manor house .

Hans von Bodenhausen was a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn .
