Hans von Ditfurth

Hans Dietrich von Ditfurth (born January 16, 1862 in Münster ; † March 6, 1917 at Gut Dankersen near Rinteln ) was a German administrative officer and manor owner.

Life

Hans von Ditfurth was a son of the colonel and landowner Arthur von Ditfurth and his wife Elisabeth born. from Schack. He grew up on his father's estate in Dankersen and graduated from the Ernestinum Rinteln . He then studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg and the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg . In 1881 he was in the Corps Hasso Borussia Freiburg recipiert . In 1886 he headed the regular Kösener Congress (oKC) of the Kösener Seniors Convents Association . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. He passed the Grand State Examination in 1890 and was district administrator of the Rinteln district from 1895 until his death, who was renamed the Grafschaft Schaumburg district in 1904 at his endeavors . From 1898 onwards he was a member of the supervisory board of Rinteln-Stadthagener Eisenbahn AG. As the owner of the Dankersen manor, he was chamberlain and governor of the collegiate church of St. Marien (Obernkirchen) . He was the first chairman of the museum association founded in 1908 for the county of Schaumburg .

From 1892 Ditfurth sat in the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia . From 1899 he represented the constituency of Kassel 1 in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . After the outbreak of war he tried in 1914 as a reserve officer for use in active military service; but it was considered indispensable by the superior authority. Nevertheless, as a civilian, he was awarded the Iron Cross on a white ribbon in 1917. He died of sepsis that same year .
