Hansi Wendler (born May 1, 1912 - December 12, 2010 in Munich ) was a German actress .
Life
Career
Hansi Wendler's artistic focus was on the stage. Since the late 1930s she also worked as an actress for film productions. One of her earliest film roles was that of a ballet dancer in Arthur Maria Rabenalt's Men Must Be That . She was rarely seen in leading roles, such as under the direction of Alois Johannes Lippl in Der Erbförster after Otto Ludwig . Instead, she appeared in supporting roles under the direction of numerous well-known directors. She played in Gustaf Gründgens ' Two Worlds , in Géza von Bolváry's Ritorno and Dream Music , in Paul Verhoeven's Night in Venice , in Theo Lingen's What Happened That Night? , in Philipp Lothar Mayring's Alarm on Ward III and in Peter Lorre's drama The Lost .
Wendler's last appearances included the television documentary Never Stop Beginning - The Ufa star Carola Höhn from 2000 about Carola Höhn , at whose side Wendler in Fritz Kirchhoff's Why are you lying, Elisabeth? played the documentary Displaced Person - Peter Lorre and his film "Der Verlorene" (The Lost) in 2007
Private
Hansi Wendler was married to the director and screenwriter Hans Grimm , with whom she lived for a long time near Luino . Their son Oliver was a well-known child star, actor, and voice actor. Her husband's brother-in-law was the director Kurt Hoffmann , under whose direction Wendler played in I'll carry you on my hands .
