Harald Atmanspacher

Harald Atmanspacher (born August 26, 1955 in Witzenhausen ) is a German physicist .

Life

Harald Atmanspacher comes from Northern Hesse and studied physics at the Universities of Göttingen (1976–1978), Zurich (1978–1979) and Munich (1979–1982) with a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . In Munich, he laid in 1982, the diploma and was in 1985 with a thesis on nonlinear dynamics doctorate . He then worked at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics until 1988 . From 1986 to 1988 he was a Reimar Lüst fellow and then a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics . In 1995 he completed his habilitation in theoretical physics at the University of Potsdam .

From 1998 to the end of 2013 Harald Atmanspacher was professor and head of the theory group at the Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau .

Since 2002 he has been an associated member of the Max Planck Center for Interdisciplinary Plasma Science, Garching. In 2007 he became a member of the Collegium Helveticum , where he was an Associate Fellow until 2016 and has been a member of the Collegium Management since 2014. He is a member of the faculty of the Parmenides Foundation in Munich and of the CG Jung Institute , as well as a member of the board of the Center for Contextuality Across Disciplines at Purdue University and a member of the Turing Center Zurich .
