Harald Bürck

Harald Bürck (born March 23, 1938 in Pinneberg ; † December 21, 2015 in Kassel ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Harald Bürck studied law in Hamburg , Freiburg and Kiel ; he passed the second state examination in law in 1966. This was followed by an activity as a research assistant in Kiel ( doctorate : 1968; habilitation : 1975).

Since 1975 he has been a judge at the Social Court in Kiel . In 1980 he was appointed judge at the Schleswig-Holstein State Social Court , and in 1992 he was appointed presiding judge .

In July 1992 Bürck became a judge at the Federal Social Court, where he was a member of the 11th Senate ( unemployment insurance and other tasks of the then Federal Employment Agency ). Since 1997 Bürck has been assigned to the 9th Senate ( war victims and soldiers' provisions ; severely handicapped rights ), since March 2001 also to the 10th Senate ( social insurance for farmers , Federal Education Allowance Act ). In November 2002 he was appointed vice chairman of the 10th Senate. At the end of March 2003, Harald Bürck retired.

In addition to his work at the Federal Social Court, Bürck taught civil law and social security law at the University of Kiel , since 1985 as an adjunct professor .
