Harald Beilschmied (born October 21, 1968 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian handball trainer and former handball player who was mostly used as a runner .

The 1.90 m tall left-hander began playing handball in his hometown at the age of 14. Via the UHC Stockerau station he came to the SG Handball West Vienna in the Handball League Austria . With ASKÖ Linde Linz he reached the final in the EHF Cup 1993/94. In 1996 he moved to the German handball league for TV Niederwürzbach , with whom he was only defeated by THW Kiel in the 1997/98 DHB Cup final . After two years he went to TuS Nettelstedt . In 2000 he returned to Austria to Alpla HC Hard . Then he played for the German second division MSG Melsungen / Böddiger and TSB Horkheim . In 2005 he signed with SV Fellbach . There he pulled the second cruciate ligament tear within a year in the fifth game and then ended his playing career.

For the Austrian national team , Harald Beilschmied played 92 international matches , in which he scored 185 goals. However, he was never able to qualify for a major tournament.

From 2007 Beilschmied was a coach at SV Fellbach. For the 2010/11 season he moved to VfL Waiblingen , which he left after a few months for professional reasons.

Private

Harald Beilschmied is married and has one child. His main job is a pharmaceutical representative .
