Harald Schoen

Harald Schoen (born April 19, 1972 in Münchberg ) is a German political scientist .

Life

Schoen studied political science , economics and law at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . In 2003 he received his dissertation on voter change and change of choice. A comparative study to the Dr. phil. PhD.

In 2008 he completed his habilitation in political science. From 2009 to 2014 he was professor of political science, in particular political sociology, at the University of Bamberg and director of the Bamberg Center for Empirical Studies (BACES). Since 2014 he has been Professor of Political Science and Political Psychology at the University of Mannheim .

He is a member of the executive committee of the German Society for Election Research , co-editor of the series of publications in Political Science ( Springer VS ) and was a member of the editorial board of the journal Politische Vierteljahresschrift .
