Hareidlandet has a bridge connection over the Dragsundbrua with the neighboring island of Gurskøya . From the direction of Ålesund , the island can be reached with the inland ferry Sulasund - Hareid. There is also a speedboat connection from Hareid via Valderøya to Ålesund Airport on Vigra Island and to Ålesund. Since the opening of the Eiksund Tunnel (Eiksundsamband), Hareidlandet can also be reached from the mainland without a ferry.
