Hareskov Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Hareskov Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Værløse Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) west of the Danish capital Copenhagen (Danish: København ).
The parish has 3,754 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Hareskov Kirke" is located in the parish.
The direct neighboring municipality is in the northwest Værløse Sogn , furthermore in the east neighboring Gladsaxe municipality Bagsværd Sogn , in the southeast neighboring Herlev municipality Lindehøj Sogn and in the southwest neighboring Ballerup municipality Ballerup Sogn .
history
Until 1970, Værløse Sogn belonged to Harde Smørum Herred in what was then Københavns Amt , then to Værløse Kommune in the reduced Københavns Amt , which was merged into Furesø Municipality in the Hovedstaden region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
