Harley Cokeliss also Harley Cokliss (born February 11, 1945 in San Diego , California as Harley Louis Cokliss ) is an American director , screenwriter and film producer . He became known through the movies Black Moon , Malone , Dream Demon - The Dream Demon and Hunt for a Nameless One .

life and career

Harley Cokeliss was born in 1945 in San Diego, California, and grew up in Chicago , Illinois . In 1966 he moved to England to study at the London Film School . In 1970 he began to direct his own documentaries, including Chicago Blues (1970), It's Fantastic! It's futuristic! It's fatalistic! It's science fiction! (1973) and The Need for Nightmare (1974). Since 1976, Cokeliss has been involved in various other roles in the film business, including screenwriter and producer.

After The Glitterball in 1977, he made his second science fiction film in 1981 with The Battle Colossus . In 1986 he directed the film production Black Moon with Tommy Lee Jones , Linda Hamilton and Robert Vaughn in the leading roles, based on a script by John Carpenter . The action film Malone followed a year later with Burt Reynolds in the title role. In 1988 he directed the horror film Dream Demon . In 2000 he created the action thriller Hunt for a Nameless One with Ray Liotta . In addition to the direction, Cokeliss took over the production and also wrote the screenplay for the film.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Cokeliss was then mainly active for television, he directed several television films and set numerous episodes of well-known television series, including Hercules , Xena - Die Kriegerprinzessin , Robin Hood , Die Profis - Die next Generation or Immortal - Der Immortals in scene.

In 2010 Harley Cokeliss shot the mystery film Paris Connections, his last movie to date.
