Hartwig Schur

Hartwig Schur (born July 29, 1947 in Halbendorf , Germany ) is a German former ice hockey player and coach.

At the age of 12 he started ice hockey, first at ASK , where Herbert Tschätsch was his trainer, and after three months, from October 1, 1960, at SG Dynamo Weißwasser , where he was trained by Günter Lehnigk , among others .

Hartwig Schur has been on the ice as a defender in the Dynamo men's team since September 1966. He was GDR champion six times and had over 100 appearances in the GDR national jersey .

Hartwig Schur is a trained fitter and, after his active career in the 1970s, completed a distance learning course to become a trainer. From 1978 he acted as a trainer in all junior teams in Weißwasser . With him as a trainer, the young teams from Weißwasser became German champions seven times, vice-champions four times and third four times. Among the ice hockey players who learned from him are Florian Proske , Mirko Lüdemann , Jörg Wartenberg , Danny Albrecht , Marcel Linke and Thomas Götz . The successful young trainer retired on September 18, 2015 before a league match of the professional Lausitzer Füchse team at the Weißwasser ice rink .

Hartwig Schur played in 1966 for the junior selection of the national team of the GDR [Anm2] and participated in the World Ice Hockey Championships in 1971 , 1972 , 1973 , 1974 and 1975 in part.
