Danny Albrecht (born January 17, 1985 in Bad Muskau , GDR ) is a German ice hockey player who is under contract with Halle Saale Bulls in the current 2015/16 season .

Player career

The striker, who was born in Bad Muskau near Weißwasser , was part of the professional squad of Lausitzer Füchse in the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time in the 2001/02 season . After two seasons in the major league at ERC Haßfurt and ERV Schweinfurt , in which he reached the playoffs, he signed a contract with the Hanover Scorpions in summer 2004 . In the German Ice Hockey League , however, he was not used, instead he played with cooperation partner REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga, where he reached the playoff final in the 2005/06 season .

In 2005 Albrecht took part in the U-20 World Championship .

For the 2006/07 season he moved from Bremerhaven to league rivals Eisbären Regensburg . However, he left Regensburg after only 18 games and switched to Mosquitos Essen , where he went on the ice in the two following seasons. After the mosquitos went bankrupt, Albrecht moved to Schwenninger Wild Wings in 2008 . For the 2009/10 season he returned to the Lausitzer Füchsen , with whom he reached the playoff quarter-finals.

In the following years he reached the play-offs several times with the Lausitzer Füchsen. In the 2015/16 season he was hired by Füchsen Duisburg , but due to internal differences, he moved to the Halle Club Saale Bulls during the season .

In addition to the Hockey Albrecht plays since 2008 also inline skater hockey at SHC food in the 1. Bundesliga Nord, with whom he 2011 Skaterhockey -Europacup winner was. He was also elected to the All Star Team at this tournament.
