The Harzer Klosterwanderweg is a 95-kilometer hiking trail on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains . It connects twelve former monasteries and church educational institutions between Goslar in Lower Saxony and the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt.

15 so-called “angel benches” were set up along the hiking trail. Since 2017 there have also been nine red stamp boxes for the Harz hiking pin , which can be collected in a corresponding booklet. A hiking pin with a copper pilgrim's cross is awarded as a badge of achievement if all stamps are verified. In 2019, the monastery hiking trail was expanded by two stamps, so that from now on eleven stamps have to be shown to receive the badge.
