The Haslach is a 12 km long right tributary of the Rot in the district of Biberach in Baden-Wuerttemberg with its right upper course Rappenbach together with the shorter left upper course .

The Rappenbach rises in the Hellers forest island west of the Hellers farm on the Hauerzer district marking of Bad Wurzach in the Ravensburg district at around 713 m above sea level. NN . The stream initially flows northeast, soon leaves the forest and later changes to the municipality of Rot an der Rot in the district of Biberach . In the same direction it flows into the Rappenbach flood retention basin , where the Schmiddisbach / Schmiddis flows from the south-south-west about 5 km below its own origin , which exceeds the Haselbach in terms of length and sub-catchment area. Flood
The Haslach became known nationwide on August 17, 1969 during the flood disaster in Rot an der Rot. On that day, thunderstorms and downpours, which are rare in the Swabian Oberland, caused the level of an outdated flood retention basin of the Haslach to rise threateningly within a few hours. When the top of the dam was flooded, the 8 m high dam collapsed over a length of 50 m. With helpers from all over Baden-Württemberg, roads, paths and bridges were made passable again. Large amounts of uprooted trees, wood, rubble and rubble had to be cleared.
