The house Matschwitz is a refuge of section Tübingen of the German Alpine Association in Austria . It is located in the Montafon in the Rätikon in Vorarlberg at about 1500 m above sea level, in the middle of the Golm ski area of Illwerke vkw AG , near the middle station of the Golmerbahn on Matschwitz .

The section is currently (March 2020) examining the sale of the house for 6.43 million euros to illwerke vkw, if possible while continuing the lease agreement with the Amann family, who have been tenants in Matschwitz for many years.

getting there

  • The hut can be reached directly with the Golmerbahn (via the Matschwitz middle station).
  • If desired, the Golmerbahn can only take you to the Latschau station. The Schruns / Tschagguns local bus, line 1, which starts at Schruns train station , also goes there . From Latschau there, the ascent via a forest path takes about 1 to 1½ hours.
