Heart of Stone is the 19th studio album of American pop - singer Cher . It was released on June 19, 1989 on the Geffen Records label.
Production and guest posts
Seven producers were involved in the production of Heart of Stone . Desmond Child , Peter Asher and Michael Bolton each contributed to the production of three songs. John Lind produced two tracks: All Because of You and Kiss to Kiss . Guy Roche and Diane Warren only produced If I Could Turn Back Time , although Warren was involved in the songwriting of six tracks.
The only guest contribution on the album comes from Peter Cetera , who can be heard on After All .

Chart successes and singles
Heart of Stone debuted on the Billboard 200 on July 22, 1989 at number 88. In the week of October 14, 1989, after 13 weeks in the charts, the sound carrier reached tenth place in the American album charts. In the German album charts, Heart of Stone rose to number 76 on March 12, 1990 and reached its highest position of number 19 on March 26, 1999. The sound carrier also reached the top of the charts in Australia, among others.
