action

Heidi's aunt Dete got a job in distant Frankfurt and doesn't want a ward on the tip of her skirt to take away this chance for a better life . Even if she promised her dying sister to take care of Heidi, now the orphan no longer fits her future plans. Dete is determined to give the little 8-year-old girl to her grandfather, the weird Alm-Öhi. From the beginning the question is in the room: Why did the old man withdraw from the people and live high above the village of Maienfeld on an alpine pasture? Heidi, carefree and friendly to everyone, quickly gets used to the change and finds a playmate and good friend in Peter, who looks after the goats of Alm-Öhi. The aunt in Frankfurt did not completely forget Heidi. She suggests her as a playmate for Klara, who is sitting in a wheelchair. Klara, the daughter of the wealthy banker Sesemann, leads a very lonely life due to her disability. The aunt's suggestion is accepted. Peter and the grandfather don't want to let her go, but Heidi is torn from her life again and brought from her beloved surroundings to the big city. Thanks to her positive outlook on life, Heidi comes to terms with the new situation in Frankfurt and quickly makes friends with Klara. Under the strict regime of the governess, Miss Rottenmeier, she and Klara were tutored by the tutor and made rapid progress. While Klara blossoms more and more during this time, Heidi “fades” more and more. Her soul suffers more and more from the separation from her beloved grandfather. Last but not least, she also misses "her" Peter and the mountains - so much that, sleepwalking at night, she goes on dangerous trips to the roof. Dr. Clasen, the family doctor, realizes that this longing is draining her health more and more severely. Although everyone can see how good Heidi's company is for his daughter, father Sesemann agrees to send Heidi back to the mountains and to the alpine pastures. A world collapses for Klara. Back in Switzerland, Heidi is noticeably recovering. However, Klara's health is a matter of great concern. Her family decides to visit Heidi. In fact, Klara is doing much better in the mountains and especially with her friend Heidi. While she was kept away from everything in Frankfurt, the two best friends prefer to spend their time outdoors in the wind and weather, sleeping together in the hay, and what no one thought possible anymore happens: Klara takes her first steps .. ..
