Heidy Gasser

Heidy Gasser (born June 12, 1957 in Sarnen ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Heidy Gasser attended secondary school, completed training as a medical practice assistant and obtained a German diploma from the Chamber of Commerce. She lived in the canton of Zug for 20 years , where she worked in a doctor's office. Since 2004 she has lived in Lungern again, where she grew up.

Gasser mainly writes biographically inspired stories, columns and portraits for various newspapers and for Radio SRF (formerly Radio DRS), e.g. B. for the series «Dorfplatz». She also writes poems, short stories and fairy tales in High German and in the dialect of her home village Lungern .

Awards

In 2002 Gasser received the Central Switzerland Audience Award for Literature . She also received the Sarnafil Culture Prize and sponsorship awards from the Canton of Obwalden and the Canton of Zug.
