Heil is a rural district of the Westphalian town of Bergkamen , Unna district .

location
Heil is in the northwest of the city of Bergkamen. In the north, the lip forms the border. The Datteln-Hamm Canal crosses the local area.
Neighboring communities
In 1965, Heil bordered clockwise to the north, starting with the city of Werne (at that time in the Lüdinghausen district ), the communities of Rünthe , Bergkamen , Weddinghofen and Oberaden (all in the Unna district ) and the then independent city of Lünen ( Beckinghausen district ).
history
Healing belonged in the establishment of offices in the Prussian province of Westphalia to the Office Pelkum in district Hamm . On the occasion of the city of Hamm on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, this was renamed the Unna district in October 1930 .
On January 1, 1966, the municipalities of Bergkamen, Heil, Oberaden, Overberge and Weddinghofen were merged to form the new municipality of Bergkamen.
In 1981 the Bergkamen power plant on the Datteln-Hamm Canal went into operation.

The state road L 736 connects Heil in the east with Rünthe, Herringen and Hamm and in the west with Lünen. The state road 821 leads from Heil in a southerly direction to Oberaden, Methler , Kaiserau , Wasserkurl, Massen and Holzwickede to Aplerbeck .
