The district of Sodenmatt only developed after the Second World War . Mainly by Gewoba, over 3,000 apartments were built in the 1950s and 1960s, mainly for social housing. At the same time, the seven hectare Sodenmattsee with the park was built in 1960/1964 . The street was built on during this time. Today the district has around 7,000 inhabitants. The district of Mittelhuchting, which is partially accessible through this street, has over 10,000 inhabitants.
