Beitzke was from the University of Jena to Dr. phil. doctorate and awarded the House Order of the White Falcon by the Grand Duke of Weimar .

From 1858 he belonged to the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he adhered to the Progressive Party and during the time of the conflict made a name for himself as a speaker in the negotiations on the military reorganization. In the House of Representatives election in 1858 he was elected for the constituency of Anklam. In the House of Representatives election in 1862 he was even elected in four constituencies and accepted the election for the constituency of Hamm-Soest. He died on May 10, 1867 in Köslin .
