The Yearbook on Liberalism Research (JbzLF) is a historical and political science periodical that has been published annually since 1989 and deals in an interdisciplinary manner with liberalism as a worldview, political tendency and its organizations.

Mission statement

The JbzLF sees itself - as it says in the foreword to Volume 1 - as a “platform for the publication of scientific articles on the history and theory of liberalism. ... It is open to everyone who deals with the subject of liberalism on a scientific basis. … Voices critical of liberalism are of course not excluded. ”After the change of editor in 2012, this programmatic claim was expressly confirmed.

Editors

The yearbook is published on behalf of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom by Eckart Conze , Dominik Geppert , Joachim Scholtyseck and Elke Seefried in conjunction with Jürgen Frölich and Ewald Grothe and appears from the beginning, i.e. H. since 1989, at Nomos Verlag , Baden-Baden . The editors of the first volume were Hans-Georg Fleck, Jürgen Frölich and Beate-Carola Padtberg. The group of editors has since been changed several times.

The detailed review section of the yearbook was outsourced in 2009 and integrated into the Internet offer of the Archive of Liberalism of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. It has also been available on the Recensio.net review platform since 2010 . Until 2004 there was an international "Liberalism Bibliography".
