Heinrich Christoph Niese

Heinrich Christoph Niese (born October 16, 1810 in Petersdorf on Fehmarn , † August 28, 1887 in Altona ) was a German general practitioner .

Life

Heinrich Christoph Niese was the older son of the pastor and later provost Johann Christoph Niese. Charlotte Niese was his niece, Benedikt Niese his nephew. He attended the school of scholars in Rendsburg and studied medicine in Kiel and Würzburg . During his studies he became a member of the fraternity of Germania Kiel in 1829 . In 1831 he took part in the Burschentag in Frankfurt am Main for the Kiel fraternity . In 1833 he was promoted to Dr. med. et surgeon. obtained his doctorate and then worked as a general practitioner and physician on the Isel Aero until 1848 . In the Schleswig-Holstein survey he served in the Schleswig-Holstein Army as senior physician , most recently as general physician. In 1852 he went to Altona as a doctor and became chief doctor of the Royal Prussian military hospital there during the German War in 1866 .

He was chairman of the association for the care of wounded and sick warriors in Altona and honorary member of the Altona association of German comrades-in-arms from 1870 to 1871 as well as the association of German invalids in Hamburg, Altona and the surrounding area . From 1884 belonged to the board of the Hamburg local association of the German school association.

Sneeze was particularly interested in the construction of functional sick barracks and military hospitals.
