Heinrich Ehrenbrecht

Heinrich Kurt Fritz Ehrenbrecht (born August 19, 1895 in Rohrberg (Salzwedel district), † September 24, 1960 in Magdeburg ) was a German dentist , table tennis official and from 1935 to 1945 the third president of the German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) .

Presidency

From 1932 to 1935 Ehrenbrecht was Vice President of the DTTB. In December 1935 he replaced his predecessor Werner Arndt as DTTB president. He held this office until 1945, with gaming operations largely ceased during the Second World War . During his tenure, the German women's national team won silver at the World Championships in 1936 and 1937 and became World Champion in 1939 as a combination of Germany and Austria.

After the founding of the DTTB, Karl-Heinz Eckardt was elected as DTTB President in 1949.

Private

Heinrich Kurt Fritz Ehrenbrecht graduated from the Domgymnasium Magdeburg in 1917 . Between 1919 and 1923 he lived in Magdeburg. Here he earned his living as a dentist and practiced at least until 1954. In 1923 he married Helene Hoffmann. At times he was the chairman of the dentists accounting office. After a short illness he died in 1960. He was cremated in the Westfriedhof in Magdeburg.
