Heinrich Joseph Floß

Heinrich Joseph Floß (born July 29, 1819 in Wormersdorf (now part of Rheinbach ), † May 4, 1881 in Bonn ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian and church historian .

Life

Heinrich Joseph Floß attended a grammar school in Münstereifel . He then studied theology and history at the University of Bonn . He was made a Doctor of Philosophy on August 27, 1841, and was ordained a priest on September 25, 1842 . He then became a chaplain to Düsseldorf-Bilk . After a study trip, with which a stay in Rome was connected, Raft was appointed repetite in the Konvikt in Bonn in 1846 . There he became a private lecturer in church history on November 6, 1847 . On March 15, 1847, Heinrich Floß was appointed a doctor of theology by the academic training institute in the Royal Theological and Philosophical Academy in Münster . He became an associate professor of church history on March 14, 1854; Full professor of moral theology , but also of church history, Floß was appointed on October 9, 1858.
