Heinrich Junker (born April 15, 1923 in Liemke ; † December 30, 2012 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and from 1961 to 1980 a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Junker completed a commercial apprenticeship in the confectionery wholesale trade from 1937 to 1939 and then worked as a clerk. He took part in World War II as a soldier from 1941 to 1945 , was used in the infantry and wounded twice. In 1943 he attended the Heeresfeuerwerkerschule in Berlin-Lichterfelde .

Junker worked as an administrative employee from 1945 to 1949 and had joined the ÖTV in 1947 . He studied from 1949 to 1951 at the Academy for Community Economics in Hamburg , graduated there as an economist and then worked as a union secretary at the ÖTV district administration in Bielefeld until 1952 . In 1956 he became a teacher for economic policy at the home adult education center of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Bergneustadt , which he later headed until 1961.

Political party

Junker was active in the Catholic youth movement until 1941 . He joined the SPD in 1947 , joined the Young Socialists and in 1948 became sub-district chairman of the Young Socialists. From 1953 to 1955 he was an advisor to the party executive of the SPD, from 1962 to 1965 he was deputy chairman of the SPD district of Ostwestfalen -Lippe.

MP

Junker was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1980. In parliament he represented the constituency of Bielefeld - Halle from 1961 to 1965 and then until 1976 the constituency of Bielefeld-Land . In the 1976 federal election , he entered the Bundestag via the SPD's state list in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Accusation of Stasi activity

Helmut Müller-Enbergs has in rosewood . A source review (2007) named Junker as one of “at least ten” members of the German Bundestag who was in direct contact with the GDR's Ministry for State Security from 1969 to 1972 . He is said to have worked as IM “Bismark” for the intelligence headquarters . The BStU determined in 2013: "Whether Junker was only used as a contact person, whether he was skimmed off under a legend, or whether he deliberately cooperated with the HV A at times cannot be determined on the basis of the available documents alone."
