Heinrich Kaiser (veterinarian)
Christoph Heinrich Kaiser (born September 13, 1838 in Ziegenhain , Kurhessen , † October 1, 1913 in Hanover ) was a German veterinarian and university professor .
Life
family
Henry Kaiser was the son of a farmer and " of Dittfurthschen fruit knife " George Kaiser (* 1797 in Allendorf ) and his wife, Gertrude , born Schmincke (* 1814 in Vorwerk born Entenfang in Ziegenhain). He was married to Maria nee Coester (* 1836 in Treysa ); they had a son Carl (* 1871 in Ebsdorf ).
Professional background
After attending the city school in Ziegenhain until 1851, he prepared himself for the exam for admission to the " Veterinary School " in private lessons . From 1852 to 1855 - following the Kurhessian regulations - he was apprenticed to the district veterinarian Hartung in Homberg (Efze) . He received his veterinary license in Berlin in 1857 . He then practiced as a veterinarian in Neustadt in the state of Hesse and in Ebsdorf near Marburg . In 1864 he played a leading role in founding the Association of Kurhessischer Tierärzte . After the incorporation of Kurhessen as part of the province of Hesse-Nassau into the Prussian state , he became "Royal Prussian District Veterinarian" in Marburg in 1871. Here he prepared his doctorate for Dr. phil. at the University of Göttingen , which took place on December 18, 1876.
In 1983 he followed a call as professor for animal breeding, obstetrics and outpatient clinic at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover as the successor to Carsten Harms . He worked there for 29 years until 1912, a year and a half before his death. "He was a master of the clinic, had a wealth of zootechnical experience from 26 years of practical experience and knew how to teach skillfully."
Kaiser ended his career as a full professor and privy councilor .

Others
On October 8, 1874, Heinrich Kaiser was accepted into the Marburg Freemason Lodge Marc Aurel to the flaming star ; later he became her honorary member. In Hanover he was a member of the Wilhelm Lodge for German Loyalty and at times its master of the chair . He was a knight of the Prussian Royal Crown Order 3rd class.
