Heinrich Kleinschroth (born March 15, 1890 in Kitzingen , † January 10, 1979 in Munich ) was a German tennis player.

Life

Kleinschroth, a member of the MTTC Iphitos , took part in tennis tournaments from 1906. His brother Robert Kleinschroth also played some amateur tournaments. In 1910 Heinrich Kleinschroth won the tournaments in Barcelona , St. Moritz and Bad Homburg in front of the height . At the 1911 Queen's Club tournament , he lost the semi-finals to Anthony Wilding . In 1912 he played at the US Championships , but was eliminated in the first round.

At the Wimbledon Championships , he never got beyond the third round in singles. In doubles, he reached the finals alongside Friedrich Wilhelm Rahe in 1913 , but lost to the British Herbert Roper Barrett and Charles Dixon in four sets.

After the First World War , Kleinschroth did not appear again in international tournaments until 1927. In 1930 he reached the round of 16 at the French championships . In 1938, at the end of his career, he took part in the Australian championships in doubles, but was eliminated in the first round. In 1913 and from 1928 to 1930 Kleinschroth played in the Davis Cup and was then captain of the German team. He was also Gottfried von Cramm's trainer for many years .

In the 1960s, Kleinschroth was an official of the International Tennis Federation .

Kleinschroth died in Munich in 1979 at the age of 88.
