Heinrich Lisson born when Henry Nischwitz (* 18th August 1867 in Guebwiller , Alsace , France ; † 6. January 1933 in Berlin ) was a German actor , manager , film producer and film director .

Life

The son of a tapestryman had attended secondary school in his hometown of Gebweiler and then worked as a concert singer. From 1892 he appeared in international (especially French) variety shows and cabarets , and guest appearances took him to Poland and Russia . With a singing partner he founded the duo Les Lissons , a pseudonym that he would later use in his film work.

Based in Berlin since 1911 or 1912, he met the cinema pioneer Charles Decroix , who was an Alsatian, who brought Lisson to film. For Decroix, Lisson initially worked as a unit manager. When he fled headlong from Germany to Switzerland at the outbreak of the First World War, Lisson founded his own production company Nischwitz-Lisson-Film and also worked for this company as a director and producer. For a number of the films he has produced, however, his work as a director is not guaranteed.

In these early years he worked several times with the then stars Fern Andra , Dorrit Weixler and Ludwig Colani . As early as 1916, Lisson had to largely give up his independence and now worked sometimes as an assistant director ( Nirwana , 1916) and actor, sometimes again as a unit manager (for productions by Victor Janson ) and again as a director in the mid-20s. His best-known production was to be the implementation of the musical comedy Barfüßele with Maria Zelenka in 1924 .

After 1927 he hardly received any offers from the film; the sound film only had two tiny roles ready for Lisson in 1931/32. Heinrich Lisson, who lived in Berlin-Steglitz until the end , died at the beginning of 1933 in the Berlin-Schöneberg hospital .

His son Theo Nischwitz came from his marriage to Frieda Glohr on April 10, 1912 , who was to make a name for himself as a special effects specialist and cameraman since the early 1930s .
