Heinrich Schilinzky

Heinrich Schilinzky (born October 6, 1923 in Riga ; † September 21, 2009 in Hamburg ) was a German-Baltic painter , graphic artist and sculptor .

Life

Heinrich Schilinzky was a Baltic German in 1939 as a result of an additional protocol to the Soviet-German border and friendship treaty home to the Reich to Germany relocated . From 1942 he took part in the Second World War as a German soldier and was taken prisoner of war, from which he returned in 1946.

From 1947 he studied commercial graphics with Erwin Krubeck (1897–1967), painting with Willi Breest (1891–1952) and Karl Kluth at the Landeskunstschule Hamburg , and passed the art education exam. From 1955 he was a high school teacher and seminar leader for the fine arts in Hamburg. After retiring in 1986, he devoted himself to painting and graphics. He was a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists Hamburg and the Association of German Art Educators (today BDK Association for Art Education ). In 1958, 1964 and 1965 he created graphics for the Griffelkunst-Vereinigung Hamburg-Langenhorn (now the Griffelkunst-Vereinigung Hamburg ). In 1962 he etched a series of leaves on the subject of Saint-Germain . He had exhibitions a. a. in the galleries Rose and Ruth Sachse in Hamburg, as well as in Berlin , Warsaw and Asheville in the US state of North Carolina . He died on September 21, 2009 at the age of 85 in Hamburg.

His estate is administered by the Forum for Artists' Legacies in Hamburg . He is also u. a. represented in the art collection of the Hamburger Sparkasse .
