Heinrich Trippe

Heinrich Trippe (born October 30, 1915 in Witten , † October 21, 1972 in Altena ) was a German athlete.

Life

In 1939 and 1940 he was German champion in the shot put , in 1937 and 1941 he finished second behind Hans Woellke . On September 14, 1941, Trippe set the German record in the shot put in Turin with 16.60 m (a distance that Hans Woellke had also achieved in 1936) and held it for 14 years before Dietrich Urbach achieved a distance of 16 m in 1955 in Freiburg . Scored 65 m.

He was also successful in the discus throw , so he was German runner-up in 1940. His best performance with the discus was 51.03 m, achieved in Cologne on August 20, 1939.

Trippe started in 1937 for the police SV Düsseldorf, from 1939 for the police SV Berlin . After the Second World War he competed for the OSV Hörde and took fourth place in the shot put at the championships in 1948 .
