Agnes von Rochlitz
Agnes von Rochlitz (* 1152 ; † March 25, 1195 in Dießen am Ammersee ), also Anežka z Rochlitz or Agnes von Wettin from the House of Wettin , Duchess of Merania , was a German noblewoman and mother of several European queens.
Agnes was the only daughter of Margrave Dedo III. the Lausitz and his wife Mechthilde von Heinsberg . She had five brothers, including Konrad II von Landsberg and Philipp, Probst zu Xanten .
She married Count Berthold IV of Andechs , vassal of the emperor and one of the most influential and powerful princes in Europe at the time, and through this marriage received the title of Duchess of Andechs. This took in 1186 to King Henry VI. Part of the Italian campaign, then later in Emperor Barbarossa's army in the Third Crusade .
Agnes von Rochlitz is buried in Diessen .
