Heinrich von Achenbach (District Administrator)

Heinrich "Heino" Adolf Achenbach , since 1888, Achenbach , (* 14. August 1863 in Bonn ; † 11. November 1933 ) was a Prussian officer and district administrator of the district maximum .

Life

Career

Heinrich von Achenbach studied (including in Heidelberg ) Law and graduated in 1889 with the first, and in 1891 (after the Referendariat) with the second state examination. In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . From 1891 he worked at the district court in Berlin and as a government trainee with the government in Kassel. On July 25, 1900, he was appointed provisional and from March 1, 1901 finally as district administrator of the district of Höchst. He worked as a district administrator until 1910 and then moved to the Prussian Ministry of Education , where he last worked as a ministerial councilor. From 1922 until his retirement in 1928 he was deputy authorized representative of the Ministry at the Reichsrat .

From 1903 to 1911 Heinrich von Achenbach was a member of the Nassau municipal parliament .

Heinrich von Achenbach was the son of the Prussian Trade Minister Heinrich von Achenbach (1829–1899) and his wife Maria, née Rollmann (1832–1898). On August 19, 1890, Heinrich von Achenbach married Paula Pringsheim, the daughter of the Jewish banker Hugo Pringsheim and his wife Sophie, born Wodianer, in Berlin. The children Freda (* 1891), Gyso (* 1892) and Ado (* 1896) emerged from the marriage. Paula von Achenbach was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1944 , where she was one of the so-called “celebrity prisoners”.
