The Heinrich von Allwörden GmbH , based in Schleswig-Holstein Mölln is a major German bakery , which operates in northern Germany.
history
The company was founded by Heinrich von Allwörden in Sterley in 1906 and has been owned by the von Allwörden family ever since. Manfred and Ralf von Allwörden, great-great-grandsons of the company founder, are the fifth generation to manage it.
Acquisitions
Von Allwörden repeatedly took over regional competitors and integrated them into its own branch network.
In 2008 the Knaack bakery, Groß Grönau , with 38 branches was taken over. In 2013 von Allwörden acquired 19 bakery branches from Kiel-based Coop eG under the brand name Unser Norden . In March 2019, Edeka Nord took a 45% stake in von Allwörden. At the same time, von Allwörden took over all of the shares in Dallmeyers Backhus GmbH from Edeka Nord . The participation agreement provided for the Dallmeyers Backhus brand to be retained. The Dallmeyer production facility in Hohenwestedt was shut down in June 2019. In 2020 von Allwörden took over eight of the eleven branches of the insolvent city bakery Drave from Schenefeld .
subsidiary
When the Kamps Group was restructured , the financial investor ECM Equity Capital Management sold the sales outlets in Hamburg, which had operated under the name Nur hier until 1997, to the von Allwörden family. They operate as Nur hier GmbH and are a 100% subsidiary of Heinrich von Allwörden GmbH.
Locations
At the end of 2018 there were 278 von Allwörden branches, of which 161 were in Schleswig-Holstein, 73 in Hamburg, 23 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and 21 in Lower Saxony. They were operated either by the company itself or by franchisees .
