Heinrich von Bünau (politician)

Heinrich von Bünau (born December 28, 1906 in Spandau , † September 10, 1992 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) was a German politician . He was the Prussian district administrator of the Preußisch Eylau district (1938/39) and from 1939 of the Allenstein district , SA - Standartenführer and from 1963 to 1971 a member of the state parliament for the FDP .

Life

Heinrich von Bünau came from the Vogtland nobility of the von Bünau family . He was born as the second child of General of the Infantry Heinrich von Bünau and Hedwig von Bredow.

He passed the Abitur at the Realgymnasium in Potsdam and then studied law in Berlin . In 1933 he passed the first and in 1934 the second state examination, after completing his legal clerkship with the Frankfurt (Oder) government and the Züllichau district office. He became a government assessor in the district offices of Groß-Strehlitz (Upper Silesia) and Prussian Eylau (East Prussia). In 1940 he did military service. He reached the rank of lieutenant in a cavalry regiment. In the SA he was a standard leader. Von Bünau had been a member of the NSDAP since 1929 , that is, " old fighter ". In 1941 he became district administrator in the Allenstein district .

After the German occupation of Poland in World War II he was until November 1939 Kreishauptmann in Piotrkow . From August 1941 to February 1942 he was the district administrator of the annexed district of Bielitz , based in Bielsko . In the occupied Soviet Union he was then employed as chief department head at the General Commissioner in Kiev , Waldemar Magunia . From 1943 to 1945 he did military service again (most recently as an orderly officer in a division staff), in 1945 he was taken prisoner by the Americans. In 1946 he was appointed to the administrative law council of a housing and settlement cooperative in Essen and in 1952 he was employed by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. In 1956 he became a senior councilor and head of the state equalization office. In 1967 he was promoted to government director.

In 1936 he was acting mayor in Senftenberg (Niederlausitz).

In 1954 he joined the FDP, nothing is known about his denazification . In terms of local politics, he was a member of the Neustadt an der Weinstrasse city council and chairman of the FDP parliamentary group there. He was district chairman of the FDP district association Neustadt-Stadt and deputy state chairman of the local political working group of the FDP.

Heinrich von Bünau represented the FDP in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament in the 5th and 6th electoral periods from 1963 to 1971 . In the 5th electoral term he was a member of the main committee, budget and finance committee and special committee for administrative reform in the state parliament. In the 6th electoral term he was a member of the Interior Committee.

He was a member of the state guarantee committee and lived in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse .
