Heinrich von Friemar (the younger)

Heinrich von Friemar (the younger) (* around 1285 in Friemar near Gotha ; † April 21, 1354 in Erfurt ) was an Augustinian hermit as well as a philosophical , theological and scholastic writer .

Life

Heinrich completed his master's degree in Paris around 1321 and was provincial from 1328 to 1336 . Later (1342 to 1350) he was active as a Magister regens in the St. Thomas Monastery in Prague . It is mentioned in a document that Heinrich was the confessor of Berthold VII , Count von Henneberg - Schleusingen . Heinrich wrote a "valued commentary" on the 4th book of the sentences of Petrus Lombardus . Until his death in 1354 he worked together with a namesake Heinrich von Friemar "the Elder" in the Augustinian monastery in Erfurt .
