Heinrich Karl Sigismund Schroeter , since January 18, 1901 von Schroeter , (born September 23, 1856 in Breslau , † February 25, 1945 in Trebnitz , Lower Silesia ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer , district administrator and police chief . He was the brother of Paul von Schroeter .

Life

Schroeter studied law at the Universities of Breslau and Bonn . There he was a member of the Corps Borussia Breslau and in 1875 he became a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn . He began his professional career in 1877 as a court trainee in Wroclaw . In 1880 he was appointed government trainee there and was employed as a government assessor in Stettin since 1882 and in Opole since 1883 . In 1885 Schroeter served as district administrator in the Pleß district until he became police director in Stettin in 1898. Since 1900, Schroeter served as police chief in Stettin and changed from 1903 to 1918 as police chief to Kiel . In 1904 he became Council III. Class, and Honorary Commander of the Royal Victorian Order by Edward VII .

Schroeter married on May 24, 1887 in Breslau Maria, geb. Walter (1864-1945). With her he had three sons, Günther , Hans-Erich and Heinrich and a daughter, Ilse. The couple and their daughter died during the occupation of Trebnitz by the Red Army in 1945.
