Heinz Bräuer
Heinz Bräuer (born September 16, 1916 in Guben ; † October 31, 2007 in Eisenhüttenstadt ) was the first pastor of the Evangelical Peace Community in Eisenhüttenstadt. The pastor was an honorary citizen of Eisenhüttenstadt and received the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany at the end of 1999 . In the former Fürstenberg Scheunenviertel, a Pfarrer-Bräuer-Straße was named in his honor.
