Heinz Gerstinger (born October 13, 1919 in Vienna ; † April 28, 2016 in Vienna) was an Austrian dramaturge , writer and historian .

Life

Gerstinger studied German, history and theater studies at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1947. phil.

Gerstinger was a member from 1946 and from 1948 head of the Graz university studio and a permanent freelancer of the Alpenland broadcasting group .

1948 to 1953 assistant at the German Institute at the University of Graz
1953 to 1963 chief dramaturge and deputy acting director at the United Theaters in Graz
1963 to 1967 chief dramaturge at the municipal theaters in Augsburg
1972 to 1983 dramaturge at the Burgtheater in Vienna and lecturer for dramaturgy at the University of Vienna
1972 to 1983 chief dramaturge at the Vienna Volkstheater

Gerstinger has published many articles in magazines and newspapers. As well as participation in ORF and numerous readings and lectures.

Heinz Gerstinger was in on 27 May 2016 Parish Stammersdorf consecrated and the cemetery Stammersdorf-site buried.
