Heinz Krejci

Heinz Krejci (born May 12, 1941 in Vienna , Austria ; † March 12, 2017 ) was an Austrian legal scholar .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1959, Heinz Krejci studied law at the University of Vienna . In 1963 he received his doctorate in law. From 1963 to 1973 he was a university assistant at the Institute for Labor and Social Law at the University of Vienna. In 1971/72 he completed his habilitation in labor, social and civil law ( habilitation thesis : Transfer of company and employment contract. At the same time, a contribution to the teaching of the transfer of contracts).

In 1973 Heinz Krejci became an associate professor at the University of Vienna . In 1976 he accepted an appointment as a full professor for private and commercial law at the Graz Faculty of Law . Then he moved back to the University of Vienna. From 1992 to 2008 he was head of the Institute for Commercial and Securities Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna. He retired on October 1, 2009 .

Heinz Krejci came to civil law through labor and social law and from there turned to corporate law. He has published in all these areas, but also in particular in consumer protection law, private insurance law, construction and procurement law and medical contract law.

Heinz Krejci was involved in important Austrian laws: in particular the Acquisition Companies Act (EEG), Association Act 2002, Company Code (UGB) and the company law provisions of the Civil Technicians Act (ZTG). Most recently, he worked on the renewal of civil society law .

He was a member of the Catholic student associations KaV Norica Vienna and KÖHV Carolina Graz .
