Heinz Laufer (political scientist)

Heinz Laufer (born April 22, 1933 in Würzburg , † April 30, 1996 in Munich ) was a German lawyer and political scientist . He was a professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1952 , Laufer studied law , philosophy , history and political science in Würzburg , Munich and Münster . In 1958 he passed the state examination in law and in 1961 was under Friedrich August von der Heydte at the Law and Political Science Faculty of the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg with the dissertation The Criterion of Political Action. Attempt to analyze and constructively criticize the friend-foe distinction on the basis of the Aristotelian theory of politics. At the same time a contribution to the methodology of political science for Dr. jur. utr. PhD. In 1968 he completed his habilitation in political science in Munich with a thesis on constitutional jurisdiction and political process. Studies at the Federal Constitutional Court of the Federal Republic of Germany and became a private lecturer . From 1969 he was Professor of Political Science and Public Law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He was also on the board of the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute and dean of the social science faculty. He was the author of numerous books and articles.
