Heinz Pollwein

Heinz Pollwein (born August 27, 1920 in Amberg ; † April 28, 2007 ) was a Bavarian politician ( CSU ).

Life

Pollwein attended elementary school in Pfarrkirchen and the upper secondary school in Passau , where he graduated from high school in 1939. He was then called up for labor and military service, dismissed as first lieutenant and was then chief medical officer of the reserve. After the war, he studied dentistry at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , passed the state examination and received his doctorate . Pollwein was initially an assistant in Passau and from 1951 an independent dentist in Griesbach .

In 1957 Pollwein was founding chairman of the CSU local association Griesbach. He was chairman of the CSU district association Griesbach and from 1972 deputy chairman of the new CSU district association Passau-West. He was also a city ​​councilor in Griesbach, a member of the Passau district council and the district committee, deputy district administrator of the Passau district and chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group as well as a member of the German and Bavarian district councils. From 1982 to 1990 he represented the constituency of Passau-West in the Bavarian state parliament .
