Heinz Schmöle, 1982

Heinz Schmöle (born September 12, 1913 in Düsseldorf ; † December 15, 1982 there ) was a German manager and businessman.

Professional

Schmöle was CEO ( General Manager ) of Victoria Insurance , for which he worked for 47 years.

He was chairman of the information center for the insurance field service e. V. (AVAD).

Together with Kurt Hamann , Schmöle founded the Dr. Kurt Hamann Foundation, which supports work in the field of insurance science.

Honors and club activities

The Heinz-Schmöle-Foundation and a street in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk are named after him. In the renovated Ratinger Tor in Düsseldorf there is a representative Heinz Schmöle room on the ground floor, in which a bust of Schmöle has been placed.

Schmöle was an honorary member of the Düsseldorf Jonges .

In 1968 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of San Carlos in Philosophy in Humanities .

In 1969 Schmöle became Honorary Senator of the General Association of Carnival Friends in Düsseldorf eV In 1971 he was awarded the Leo Statz plaque from the Düsseldorf Spark Artillery Rot-Wiss 1935.

In 1953 he founded the Oberbilker Citizens Guild together with Edi Winterhoff, Fritz Krampe and Hans Rycken.

The Oberbilk riding club named the Heinz Schmöle Cup after him.

Schmöle was protector of St. Seb. Schützenverein Düsseldorf-Oberbilk, which honored him in 2013 with a shooting fair on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Personal

Schmöle was married to Hildegard Schmöle (* 1916), who received the Duke Wilhelm Medal of the Düsseldorf Jonges in 2011.
