Heinz Siebert

Heinz Siebert (born November 25, 1921 in Hohenberge ) is a former German politician ( DBD ). He was deputy chairman of the council of the Frankfurt / Oder district and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Siebert, the son of a farm laborer , attended elementary school and worked as a farm worker himself from 1936 to 1940. He then did military service in the Air Force and became a prisoner of war .

In 1950 he became a member of the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD). From 1950 to 1952 he was regional manager of the DBD in the state of Brandenburg . From 1952 he was a member of the DBD district committee Frankfurt / Oder and its secretariat, from 1952 to 1953 also first secretary of the DBD district committee Frankfurt / Oder. From 1953 to 1963 he was deputy chairman of the council of the Frankfurt / Oder district and from 1952 to 1967 a member of the Frankfurt / Oder district assembly .

In 1956/1957 he studied at the German Academy for Political Science and Law , and in 1961/1962 at an agricultural college with a degree as a state-certified farmer. 1963/1964 he worked as chief agronomist at the District Agriculture Council of Frankfurt / Oder. From 1964 to 1967 he was chairman of the LPG "Upward" in Parstein and from February 1967 chairman of the LPG "Neues Leben" in Stolzenhagen (successor to Johann Ubbing). The LPG was to become a model and model company of socialism. LPG chairman Siebert struggled but was withdrawn in 1975. He was mayor of Schönerlinde for many years .

From 1967 to 1976 he was a member of the People's Chamber, from 1967 to 1971 a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy and from 1971 to 1976 a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Food. From 1968 Siebert was also a member of the Council for Agriculture and Food Industry of the GDR.
