Sina Andri starts working as a pilot at the base of the Swiss Air Rescue in Samedan - not with joy, because she actually never wanted to return there after the suicide of her first friend. Her mother Tonia gives her shelter. Her team consists of the base manager Reto Bodmer, the doctor David Gygax and the paramedic Franco Zanetti, with whom she falls in love.
Gian Padrun, father of Sina's ex-boyfriend, makes serious accusations and pulls out all the stops to drive Sina out of Samedan because he blames her for the death of his son.
Tonia manages to win Baschi for a benefit concert. After the concert, Baschi went on a climbing tour, but got stuck on a rock face because of the bad weather. Sina's team manages to save him, but contrary to the regulations, she flies too close to the rock face. At first she was hailed by the press as the “heroine of the air”, but the risky action got off and she was again seriously accused. Padrun shows up at the Rega base, announces his patronage and demands that Bodmer dismiss Andri. He also blackmailed Tonia by giving notice to her business and residential building. Any attempt Andris to speak to Bodmer ends in fiasco.
During a routine flight, Andri is unable to concentrate; the psychological burden of the past overtakes them. She touches a rock face and crashes with the helicopter. Nobody is injured, but the helicopter is badly damaged. Then she decides to change the base. When she is about to say goodbye, Padrun's daughter Mona appears at the base and reports that her father has disappeared. Sina suspects that he is in the hut where his son administered the lethal dose of the medication. She starts a search flight without Bodmer's permission and actually finds Gian half frozen on the Roseg Glacier . He dies in the hospital after forgiving her.
In the end Sina and Mona make up, Franco kisses Sina and she stays in Samedan.
