Emanuela von Frankenberg

Emanuela von Frankenberg (born February 20, 1961 in Basel ) is a Swiss actress and opera singer ( soprano ) who works in both Germany and Switzerland.

Life

Emanuela von Frankenberg received her training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and was engaged at the Vienna Burgtheater as a student . This was followed by engagements at various theaters including u. a. Schauspielhaus Köln , Schauspielhaus Hamburg , Schauspielhaus Zürich , Residenztheater Munich , State Opera Stuttgart , Kammerspiele Hamburg , St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg , Renaissance Theater Berlin , Freie Volksbühne Berlin and theaters in Josefstadt as well as at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and the Vienna Festival .

She worked with directors such as Hans Neuenfels , Peter Zadek , Jürgen Flimm , Benno Besson and Hans Lietzau .

Since 2002 she can be seen in the ARD series “ Um Himmels Willen ”, in which she became famous. There she plays, alongside Janina Hartwig as "Sister Hanna" and Fritz Wepper as "Lord Mayor Wöller", the nun " Agnes Schwandt", who cooks for the monastery and who trusts her homemade potions and herbs.

She has also been featured in the film adaptations of the Kommissär-Hunkeler series by the Swiss playwright Hansjörg Schneider since 2007 .

Emanuela von Frankenberg has her first residence in Berlin .
