Helene Söderlund (born May 9, 1987 in Tierp ) is a Swedish cross-country skier and orienteer .

Career

At the beginning of her career, Söderlund was particularly successful in orienteering skiing, where she was twice world and European champion between 2009 and 2011. In cross-country skiing, she made her debut in the World Cup in November 2010 in Gällivare , where she finished 55th over 10 km freestyle and 9th with the third Swedish relay. Söderlund achieved her first top 10 result in the Scandinavian Cup in December 2010 with tenth place in Savalen ; in February 2011 she finished ninth in the Keuruu Freestyle Pursuit . In December 2014, Söderlund took fourth and third place in the Scandinavian Cup in Lillehammer over 10 km freestyle and in the 20 km mass start race in classic technique. Then she started for the first time in the Tour de Ski , where she reached her first World Cup points with 27th place on the freestyle pursuit stage in Toblach ; Söderlund finished the following mass start stage in the classic technique in Val di Fiemme in 26th place. In the final mountain pursuit, she ran the 29th fastest time and finished the overall tour standings in 27th place. In the summer of 2017 she finished third in the overall ranking of the Rollerski World Cup with two third, second and first places . At the Rollerski World Championships 2017 in Sollefteå , she was ninth over 18 km freestyle.
