World ski orienteering championships
The World Ski Orienteering Championships (Engl. World Ski Orienteering Championships , shortly Ski-WOC ) are from the World Orienteering Federation held (IOF) since 1975. The world championships are held every two years, with deviations in 1980 and 2005.

In 1988 a competition was introduced over the short distance, which became the middle distance with the introduction of the sprint in 2002. There has been a competition for mixed teams since 2011. A man and a woman run alternately three rounds in a team.
The official world championship program looks like this:
- Sprint ,
- Means ,
- Long ,
- Relay (teams of three) ,
- Mixed team relay (teams of two) .
The junior world championships take place separately from the active players, for more information see World Junior Ski Orienteering Championships .
