Hellmuth G. Dahms

Hellmuth Günther Dahms (born April 19, 1918 in Brandenburg an der Havel ; † 2010 ) was a German historian who mainly dealt with the history of the 20th century .

Life

After graduating from high school, Dahms studied history and worked as a private scholar after gaining a doctorate in philosophy . He was a student of the historian Rudolf Stadelmann and was best known for his work on the history of the United States and on the history of the 20th century, such as the Second World War and the Spanish Civil War .
