Helmer from Lützelburg
Helmer von Lützelburg (born October 1, 1956 ) is a German director , screenwriter and film producer . He is a son of the painter and Simplicissimus draftsman Josef Sauer (1893–1967).
Life
After graduating from the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Munich , Lützelburg studied from 1976 at the University of Television and Film in Munich (feature film class). His first 30-minute short film What do you think of the death of Wilma Montesi? (1978, predicate: valuable) screened at numerous international film festivals , including in San Francisco and Rotterdam.
His graduation film Die Nacht des Schicksals , a grusical with Billie Zöckler , Melitta Wolke-Desinée and members of the theater collective Rote Rübe ( Traute Hoess , Ludwig Boettger ) parodies hit films and B-Pictures from the 50s and 60s. The songs of the film (composer: Markus Klug) were recorded by Ton Steine Scherben and Rio Reiser . The film received a Federal Film Prize in 1982 (film tape in silver) and the sponsorship prize of the Max Ophüls Competition . In the episode film Neonstadt (1982, predicate: valuable) under the overall direction of Eckhart Schmidt ( Der Fan , 1982), Lützelburg directed the episode Star with Billie Zöckler.
In 1982 Lützelburg founded the film production company Emotion Pictures in Munich together with the screenwriter and composer Andreas Markus Klug . In 1984 he developed the concept for the TV talent show Showbühne with Alfred Biolek . In the same year his comedy Im Himmel ist die Hölle Los , which received the special prize of the Max Ophüls Competition in 1986 and became a cult film, was released. In addition to Billie Zöckler and Dirk Bach, the pitch-black satire also features a number of well-known actors such as Barbara Valentin , Ralph Morgenstern , Walter Bockmayer , Harry Baer , Ortrud Beginnen , Cleo Kretschmer , Samy Orfgen , Beate Hasenau , Elma Karlowa , Kurt Raab , Veronika von Quast and the Ariel clementine Johanna König . The German entertainer, actor and comedian Dirk Bach played his first leading role in it, the show master Willi Wunder. Lützelburg also had a cameo as Kurt Kabuffke in the film , but was not mentioned as an actor in the credits.
Since the late 80s, directed and produced Lützelburg numerous commercials for advertising agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi , Young & Rubicam , McCann Erickson , MC & LB . For an anti-AIDS film from the Federal Ministry of Health, he received a. a. a bronze lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Lützelburg lives and works in Munich and Málaga.
