Helmer von Lützelburg (born October 1, 1956 ) is a German director , screenwriter and film producer . He is a son of the painter and Simplicissimus draftsman Josef Sauer (1893–1967).

Life

After graduating from the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Munich , Lützelburg studied from 1976 at the University of Television and Film in Munich (feature film class). His first 30-minute short film What do you think of the death of Wilma Montesi? (1978, predicate: valuable) screened at numerous international film festivals , including in San Francisco and Rotterdam.

His graduation film Die Nacht des Schicksals , a grusical with Billie Zöckler , Melitta Wolke-Desinée and members of the theater collective Rote Rübe ( Traute Hoess , Ludwig Boettger ) parodies hit films and B-Pictures from the 50s and 60s. The songs of the film (composer: Markus Klug) were recorded by Ton Steine ​​Scherben and Rio Reiser .
